Steven R. van der Veen

Steve is a corporate planning and development executive and consultant with more than 35 years of experience in business and financial planning, and acquisitions and divestitures. He helps owners sell their businesses, and also provides financial benchmarking analysis, strategic planning, feasibility studies, process mapping, valuations, and transactional consulting.

Steve holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and undergraduate/graduate degrees in the sciences.

He has served as VP Planning for a $1 billion company, and led the financial staff of another $500 million industrial group. As a senior planning and development executive, Steve has closed transactions with values ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to more than $500 million. His corporate work includes helping to turn around several enterprises on the brink of liquidation.

Since forming SRV Associates in 1992, Steve has advised dozens of companies about valuation, acquisition and exit strategies. His clients have ranged from large manufacturing companies, to small service providers, to professional practices. He recently served as Interim CFO in two client companies facing difficult challenges driven by the recent recession.
